Morocco: Authorities dismantle terror cell linked to IS February 4

Authorities announce the dismantling of a terror cell on February 4; vigilance advised



On Tuesday, February 4, the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior announced the dismantling of a terror cell linked to Islamic State (IS) that had planned more than one terror attack in the country. The cell includes six members who were operating between Casablanca, Mohammedia, and Azilal.

A heightened security presence remains possible in the aforementioned cities and their surroundings.  


Individuals in Morocco are advised to remain vigilant due to the continuing terror threat, adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities, and report any suspicious objects or behavior.
