Denmark: Protesters to gather in Copenhagen November 23

Protesters to gather in Copenhagen on November 23; avoid protests as a precaution

Activists are scheduled to protest in Copenhagen on Tuesday, November 24, against the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara. Participants will reportedly gather outside of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 16:00 (local time) in solidarity with ongoing protests in Western Sahara. Since October 20, Sahrawi protesters have been demonstrating against the occupation of Western Sahara, with protesters erecting roadblocks in El Geuguerat, which connects Morroco to Mauritania. The demonstration is expected to remain largely peaceful.

A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are possible in the vicinity of all demonstrations.

Those in Copenhagen are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
