Venezuela: TAP Air Portugal operations temporarily suspended February 17

Government temporarily suspends TAP Air Portugal operations into and out of Venezuela for 90 days February 17; confirm flight reservations

Government officials announced on Monday, February 17, that TAP Air Portugal flights into and out of the country will be canceled for a period of 90 days, accusing opposition leader Juan Gaido's uncle to have brought explosives in a flight from Lisbon to Caracas the week prior.

Further flight cancelations and modified timetables are possible in the near term.

Individuals flying with TAP Air Portugal are advised to monitor the situation, contact the airline for more information, confirm travel itineraries, and anticipate flight disruptions.
