A landslide destroyed a section of the highway near the Bibi-Heybat mosque in the capital, Baku, on the night (local time) of Sunday, November 24. Recent heavy rain triggered the landslide, which is blocking approximately 80-100 m (262-328 ft) of road. As of Monday, November 25, vehicle traffic is suspended in the area as recovery operations begin. It is unclear when the road will reopen.
