Lebanon: Nationwide protests scheduled on November 21

Nationwide motorized protests scheduled on November 21; disruption likely

Nationwide motorized protests are scheduled throughout urban centers on Saturday, November 21. The demonstrations are being held to denounce socio-economic and political grievances in the county. Participants of the motorized demonstrations are set to depart from various town squares across Lebanon before congregating in Martyrs' Square in Beirut at 13:00 (local time).

Disruption along major highways and roads leading into Beirut is likely. A heightened security presence should also be anticipated in the vicinity of the protest site.

Those in Lebanon are advised to monitor developments, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
