Event

Delays, cancelations, and diversions have been reported at Dubai International Airport (DXB) as of the afternoon (local time) on Saturday, January 11. Additional delays and diversions are likely for the remainder of Saturday, as well as residual delays into Sunday, January 12. Rainfall is forecast to affect Dubai until Sunday, which may result in flooding and consequent transportation disruptions.

Advice

Individuals flying via DXB are advised to contact their airlines to confirm their flight reservations and departure times.

Individuals in the affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, avoid areas directly affected by flooding, confirm road conditions and train and flight reservations before setting out, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities. Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters; 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
