France: HOP pilots to strike February 27 /update 3

Pilots’ union calls on HOP pilots to strike February 27; confirm flight reservations

Warning

Event

The Syndicat National des Pilotes de Ligne (SNPL) union has called on HOP pilots to strike on Thursday, February 27, from approximately 06:00 to 18:00 (local time), to demand improved working conditions and wages. Recent related strikes have had little impact on air traffic, and this strike is likewise expected to cause few disruptions. However, flight delays and cancelations remain possible at French airports across the country throughout the day. Additional strike actions are to be anticipated in the coming weeks, as the SNPL union has threatened to hold a strike every Friday until Thursday, April 30, if their demands are not met.

Up-to-date information on flights, including delays and cancelations, can be found on the Air France website here.

Advice

Individuals flying with HOP are advised to monitor developments, expect consequent flight delays and cancelations, confirm flight reservations prior to leaving for the airport, and contact their airline for more information.
