Activists call for anti-government protest in Mexico City on November 21; avoid protests as a precaution

Several organizations opposed to President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) have called for an anti-government protest demanding for the president's resignation to take place in Mexico City on Saturday, November 21. Participants will reportedly gather from 10:00 (local time) at the Monumento a la Revolución and march to the Zócalo.

Other smaller demonstrations are also possible in the capital's main squares and prominent areas, such as outside government buildings. A heightened police presence and localized disruptions are likely around protests.

Individuals in Mexico are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
