Battery factory collapses following fire in Peera Garhi (Delhi) January 2; avoid the area



A battery factory has reportedly collapsed at 09:00 (local time) after a fire broke out in the building's basement on Thursday, January 2, in Delhi's Peera Garhi area. At least one firefighter has been killed and 19 others were injured in the incident. An investigation on the cause of the fire is ongoing. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions, including road closures, are to be expected in the affected area until the scene has been cleared.
