Air Algérie staff carry out strike for a fourth day as of February 20; cancelations and delays reported

Warning

Event

Air Algérie cabin crew has continued its strike for a fourth day on Thursday, February 20. Reports indicate that two flights from Paris into the country have been canceled on Thursday, as well as one flight from Algiers' Houari Boumediene Airport (ALG) to Paris. The strike began on Monday, February 17, when the Algerian National Union for Commercial Crewmembers (SNPNCA) asked staff to hold the stoppage in demand for improved salaries.

The strike has continued despite a court order issued by the administrative tribunal on Monday, deeming the strike illegal and ordered staff to return to work.

Flight delays and cancelations should be expected in the coming several hours and days.

Advice

Individuals traveling with Air Algerie are advised to monitor developments to the situation, anticipate flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
