Germany: Several protests planned across the country December 28

Activists plan to protest in several cities December 28; heightened security presence and transportation disruption likely

The Stop Bombing Idlib civil society group has called for protests nationwide on Saturday, December 28, to denounce the Russian intervention in Idlib. In Berlin, participants plan to gather from 13:00 to 15:00 (local time) in front the Russian Embassy. Additional protests are expected across the county, notably in Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Dortmund.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruption is to be expected near all demonstration sites.

Individuals in Germany are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests due to the risk of violence, budget extra time to reach their destinations, and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities.
