Authorities ground dozens of Bek Air flights following deadly crash on December 27; confirm flight reservations



At least 100 Bek Air flights have been suspended after a plane operated by the airline crashed near Almaty on Friday, December 27. Flight suspensions will likely continue through Tuesday, December 31. Bek Air is offering refunds to those potentially affected by the disruptions.


At least 12 people were killed when a plane carrying around 100 passengers crashed shortly after taking off from Almaty International Airport (ALA) in the morning (local time) of Friday, December 27.


Travelers flying with Bek Air are advised to confirm flight reservations and to contact their airline for additional information.
