Police operation ongoing after two people stabbed in Nottingham January 11; road closures reported around Halifax Place



Two people were stabbed around Fletcher Gate in Nottingham on the evening (local time) of Friday, January 11. According to an initial police assessment, the stabbings did not appear to have a terror-related motive. Authorities have cordoned off roads in the vicinity of Halifax Place, including Fletcher Gate, Pilcher Gate, and High Pavement. A heightened security presence is to be expected near the incident site over the coming hours.
