Improvised explosive device (IED) detonates in Kabul’s Abdul Haq Square on April 9; avoid the area



A suspected improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in Abdul Haq Square in Kabul's Police District 9 (PD9) at approximately 05:45 (local time) on Thursday, April 9. Early reports suggest that the explosion is the result of an magnetically attached IED (MAIED). It is currently unclear if the blast has resulted in any casualties at this time.
