Boko Haram attack on Borno state governor’s convoy kills nine on November 21; further attacks likely

A Boko Haram attack on Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum's convoy reportedly killed at least nine people on Saturday, November 21. Zulum escaped uninjured from the attack, but two civilians and seven soldiers were killed. The attack, which took place on the Gajiram-Monguno road, was the third against Zulum in the last three months.

Further Boko Haram attacks are likely throughout Borno state and northeast Nigeria over the near to medium term.
