South Korea: Anti-government protest planned in Seoul December 21

Anti-government protests to be held in central Seoul December 21; heightened security presence and transportation disruptions expected

A coalition of over ten conservative civil society groups have called for several anti-government protests to take place in central Seoul on Saturday, December 21. Around 15,000 participants plan to gather at 12:00 (local time) in front of the Kyobo Building (Gwanghwamun district), before marching through central Seoul until 18:00. Another rally is planned at 16:00 in front of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office in Seocho-gu.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are expected around all protest sites.
