UK: Staff at Northwestern Railway to strike November 30

Staff at Northwestern railway and to strike on November 30; transportation disputations expected

The Rail, Maritime, and Transport (RMT) union announced that staff at Northwestern railway plan to strike on Saturday, November 30, due to an ongoing dispute over the removing of 900 guards and 40 drivers in trains. Significant transportation disruptions, including train delays and cancelations, are anticipated. However, the union stated that passengers holding tickets for this Saturday can use them the day prior and up to two days later.

Crowded conditions on operating lines and other forms of public transportation are to be expected.

Individuals in the affected areas are advised to monitor developments to the situation, prepare for related transportation disruptions, budget extra time to reach their destinations, and adhere to instructions issued by the local authorities.
