Two French nationals shot and killed in Port-au-Prince November 24; authorities open investigation into incident



Unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle shot and killed two French nationals in Port-au-Prince on Sunday night (local time), November 24. According to media reports, the French couple were killed while waiting outside a home as their driver opened a gate; the incident reportedly took place shortly after the couple arrived in Haiti via Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP) to meet a child they intended to adopt. The assailants did not steal items from the scene. French and Haitian authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
