Kenya: Landslide kills 24 in the northwest November 23 /update 1

Heavy rain has caused landslides in West Pokot County, killing at least 24 people as of Saturday, November 23. Infrastructure damage was also reported, including inaccessible roads and four bridges that were swept away.

More rainfall is forecast in West Pokot County over the coming several days, which may cause additional landslides. Consequent transportation disruptions are to be expected in affected areas over the near term.
