Farmers schedule protests in Valencia and Cádiz on February 14, 18; transportation disruptions expected

Farmers and other agriculture sector staff are holding protests in Valencia on Friday, February 14, and in Cádiz on Tuesday, February 18. The protests are scheduled in order to call on government to promote measures that will ensure equitable economic returns. In Valencia, participants are gathering at an undisclosed time at the Passeig de l'Albereda and will march and drive tractors to Plaça del Temple, to the doors of the Government Delegation.

In Cadiz, participants will gather as of 11:00 (local time) at Villamartín, where they plan to block roads and protest.

Significant transportation disruptions are to be expected for a large part of the day in Valencia, parts of Cadiz, and surrounding areas. These protests may also affect evening commuter traffic.
