Costa Rica: Pro-life rally planned in San José December 1

The National Front for Life is planning a march in San José on December 1; heightened police presence and localized traffic disruptions expected

A pro-life rally is being organized by the National Front for Life in the capital San José on Sunday, December 1. Supporters are being asked to gather at Central Park before starting the march at 11:00 (local time) towards the statue of León Cortés. The rally is being held under the banner “To life I say yes” and the organizers are calling for President Carlos Alvarado not to sign a technical norm that would regulate abortion.

An increased police presence and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated around demonstrations sites and along the march route.

Individuals in San José are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate associated transportation disruptions, and adhere to any instructions issued by local authorities.
