France: Migrants' rights march due in Paris December 18

Labor unions and civil society groups plan a march in Paris in solidarity with migrants on December 18; heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions expected

Several civil society groups and labor unions have called for a march in Paris on Wednesday, December 18, to demand better rights for migrant laborers. Participants plan to gather from 18:00 (local time) at République, and then head to Gare du Nord via Boulevard Saint Martin, Boulevard Saint Denis, Gare de l'Est, Rue du 8 mai 1945, and Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis.

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected along the march route.
