Omaha’s Eppley Airfield (OMA) resumes operations on January 18 following a temporary closure earlier in the day; residual flight disruptions expected in the coming hours



Eppley Airfield (OMA) in Omaha (Nebraska state) reopened around 17:40 (local time) on Friday, January 18, following a runway accident around 14:15 that day. Residual flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are expected in the coming hours.


A passenger plane from Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) slid off the runway after landing at approximately 14:15 on Friday. No passengers or crew were injured in the accident.


Individuals traveling to or from OMA are advised to confirm their flight status with their airline and anticipate residual flight delays.
