Since Sunday, November 24, farmers have travelled on their tractors towards Berlin to denounce a proposed agriculture package. On November 26, police are anticipating major traffic disruptions in the capital, with at least 10,000 participants and 5000 tractors expected at the protest which will take place from 09:30 (local time) until 20:00. According to local authorities, the most affected areas will include the districts of Mitte and Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Heerstraße, Kaiserdamm and Bismarckstraße roads, and the 17 June street.

A heightened security presence along with significant transportation disruptions are expected across the city throughout the day.

Context

Similar protests were held in October in Bonn, resulting in significant disruptions.
