India: Farmers trade union to protest in New Delhi on November 26-27

A farmers trade union demonstration is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on November 26-27. The demonstration has been organized by the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) farmers' organization. Participants of the demonstration are set to gather at Jantar Mantar as well as outside the residences of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and corporate businesses. Additionally, on November 26, a general strike has been organized by trade unions in support of the farmers and is being held to denounce perceived anti-labour policies of the central government.

Demonstrations are expected to be very well attended. A heightened security presence and localized transport disruptions are likely in the vicinity of any demonstration
