Wind gusts of 112 kph (70 mph) along with fog are forecast on Wednesday, December 18, and Thursday, December 19, until 03:00 (local time) in Northern Ireland and western England. According to local authorities, strong winds are likely to affect road, air, rail, and ferry transportation. Rain alerts have also been issued for South Wales and West Midlands, possibly resulting in floods in coastal areas from 16:00 to 11:45 on Wednesday. Additional rain is expected through Saturday, in the southeast.
