One of three runways at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) will be closed for maintenance work for 13 days beginning on Thursday, November 15. The closure is expected to reduce the airport’s capacity by 100 flights per day (50 departures and 50 arrivals). Airlines will likely alter their flight schedules ahead of the closure; last minute disruptions (flight delays and cancelations) are also possible.
DEL is the country’s busiest airport.
Travelers are advised to confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport and to contact their airlines for more information.
