High wind gusts reported in Lebanon March 12, causing infrastructure damages and transportation disruptions; residual disruptions likely



High winds of 80-90 kmh (49-55 mph) affected Lebanon from Thursday, March 12, through the early morning (local time) on Friday, March 13, causing significant infrastructure damage and transportation disruptions. The most affected areas include Bickfaya, Baalbeck, Saïda, Tyr, Marjeyoun, Hasbaya, and Zouk Mikaël. Residual disruptions including transportation disruptions and potential power outages are to be expected in the coming hours.
