Portugal: Activists plan protest against COVID-19 restrictions in Lisbon November 14

Protest against COVID-19 restrictions to be held in Lisbon on November 14; heightened security presence and localized disruptions possible in the vicinity



Activists plan to hold a demonstration against current coronavirus disease (COVID-19) related restrictions in Lisbon on Saturday, November 14. Demonstrators will reportedly gather at Marques de Pombal Square at 12:00 (local time) before marching to Praca do Comercio. An associated demonstration will take place at Praca do Rossio at 12:30.

A heightened security presence is expected in the vicinity of the demonstrations and security forces may disperse the protest due to current restrictions over public gatherings.
