Anti-government protesters to march in Belgrade on January 12; localized disruptions possible

Protesters are planning to hold an anti-government demonstration in Belgrade on Saturday, January 12. Thousands are expected to gather in the city center from 18:00 to 20:00 (local time), including a rally at Slavija Square. Further protests are possible in Belgrade and other cities  in the coming weeks.

Context

Demonstrators in Serbia have been holding weekly protests on Saturdays since December 7 to denounce government corruption and call for the resignation of President Aleksander Vucic. The protests began following the assault of opposition leader Borko Stefanovic by suspected government forces or supporters.
