Event

The Irish Meteorological Service (IMS) has issued yellow weather warnings (the lowest on a three-tiered scale) for strong winds and heavy rains in Galway (Connaught province), Cork, Kerry, and Waterford (all Munster province) through Wednesday, November 11. Such conditions may result in flash flooding, particularly in low-lying and coastal areas.

Associated flooding and disruptions to transport, business, and utilities are possible in the near term.

Advice

Those in affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, anticipate transportation disruptions, avoid areas directly affected by flooding, confirm road conditions before setting out, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities, including evacuation orders. Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters.
