Barcelona police shoot alleged assailant in attempted knife attack on November 21; disruption likely



Police shot and injured a man who allegedly attempted to attack them with a knife in Barcelona on the evening of Saturday, November 21. The incident occurred at 19:00 (local time) at the intersection of Passeig de Sant Joan and Carrer d'Ausiàs Marc. The assailant was reportedly a homeless man and is undergoing treatment in hospital. No other injuries were reported.
