Unconfirmed reports state that several Ethiopian soldiers were killed after their convoy was struck by a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) blast on Saturday, April 4, in the Gedo region. The incident reportedly took place between the towns of Doolow and Luuq, through which the army convoy was transiting.

Currently, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
