A man in Yelatma (Ryazan region) shot dead five people in a residential complex late (local time) Saturday, April 4, over a noise complaint and ensuing verbal argument. According to investigators, the man initially complained to the group about violating ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine measures before opening fire with a hunting rifle, killing four men and one woman. Police said that the suspect attempted to flee the scene but was captured and arrested. An investigation is ongoing at the suspect's residence and in the surrounding area.
