Nepal: Bharatpur Airport (BHR) to close December 1-10

Event

The Bharatapur Airport (BHR) in Chitwan will close from Sunday, December 1, through Tuesday, December 10, for runway maintenance and other renovations. According to airport officials, all airline operators have been informed of the closure. During the maintenance period, the runway will be overlaid to cover existing potholes and additional parking bays will be added to the parking garage. An alternative runway at the Meghauli Airport (MEY) west of Chitwan is also being prepared for emergency flights.
