France: Traffic disruptions in Paris Jan. 10-11 due to VTC protests

Traffic disruptions expected throughout Paris on January 10-11 due to scheduled protests by drivers of car-hiring services

Drivers from VTC Network Companies (like Uber and other "mini cabs") have launched a strike in Paris on Thursday, January 10, starting at 05 :00 (local time) at Porte Maillot. Another strike is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 11, at Porte d'Orléans from 05 :00. The strike is likely to cause traffic disruptions in the capital. « Go slow » actions will also be taken on roads to and from Paris-Charles De Gaulle(CDG) international airport.

Travelers are advised to allow extra time to reach their destinations and to avoid all demonstrations.
