Hundreds of protesters gathered at Thammasat University in Bangkok on Saturday, February 22, to denounce the dissolution of the opposition Future Forward Party. The Constitutional Court disbanded the party on Friday, February 21, for accepting loans deemed to be illegal. The Future Forward Party currently holds the third largest share of seats in parliament.

Further protests are possible in the coming days. A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of any demonstration.
