Nepal: Transportation disruptions due to heavy snowfall January 24

Heavy snow fell between January 21 and 24 across the country, leading to significant transportation disruptions. Hundreds of travelers and vehicles were reportedly stranded on January 23 due to inclement weather conditions. Snow and ice conditions have significantly reduced vehicle traffic, notably in the Bajhang district (northwest), as well as in the neighbouring districts of Bithad, Shreebhawar, Dholyamod, Bijayapur, Lusyalek, Nachanthali, and Bajpani, and on the Nepal-China border area.
