Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) militants in Khan Yunis opened fire on Israeli troops along the southern border of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, February 19. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the soldiers responded with artillery fire; no casualties were immediately reported on either side.

Further cross-border fire is possible along the Israeli-Gazan border over the coming hours and days.
