Ongoing DPP march in Lilongwe February 26; heightened security presence and transportation disruptions expected



A march organized by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for the restoration of democratic justice is currently ongoing as of 13:00 (local time) on Wednesday, February 26, in Lilongwe. Approximately 15,000 people are reportedly marching from the Civic Offices towards the Kamuzu central roundabout.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of the demonstration. Clashes between security forces and protesters cannot be ruled out.
