Police have evacuated and cordoned off parts of Terminal 1 at Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA) during the early evening of Jan. 16. Preliminary reports indicate that authorities are conducting an operation in response to the potential presence of an explosive device in the facility.

Residual flight disruptions are possible even after authorities have secured the area.
