Border Police opened fire and killed a Palestinian driver during an attempted ramming attack at the az-Za'ayyem checkpoint near Jerusalem on Wednesday, November 25. The suspect approached the checkpoint and presented false documents during a routine check before they suddenly started driving towards Border Police officers, hitting and injuring one. The officers opened fire in retaliation, severely injuring the assailant, who later succumbed to their wounds.

Further similar low-level attacks are expected in the region over the near term.
