Assailant stabs at least five people in Monsey (New York state) on December 28; investigation ongoing



Police officials in Ramapo confirmed at around 00:30 (local time) on Sunday, December 29, that an assailant stabbed and wounded at five people in Monsey at around 21:50 on Saturday, December 28. They announced that the suspect is in custody after having been located in Harlem (New York City) and that the investigation is ongoing. The Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council for the Hudson Valley region said that the victims were Hasidic Jews who were celebrating Hanukkah in the home of a rabbi.
