According to local sources, the protest, which took place in Bnei Brak, was organized to denounce a reform allowing for construction work to take place on Shabbat on the Tel Aviv light rail system. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are anticipated in the vicinity of any demonstration.

Advice

Individuals in Israel are advised to avoid public gatherings due to the potential for violence, especially in Jerusalem. As a reminder, some Western governments advise their citizens against all travel to the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and areas near the Lebanese, Syrian, and Egyptian borders.
