Mauritius: Road disruptions scheduled in Port Louis due to Chinese New Year Parade January 23

Police to close roads for Chinese New Year Parade in Port Louis on January 23; heightened security presence and associated disruptions expected



The Ministry of Art and Heritage is holding a Chinese New Year Parade in Port Louis on Thursday, January 23. Participants are due to gather at 16:00 (local time) at the Municipality of Port Louis, and proceed to Chinatown via Government House. Government officials announced that police officers will close several roads in the surrounding area including Remy Ollier and Sir William Newton streets.
