France: Protest planned outside Australian embassy in Paris January 17

Extinction Rebellion group calls for a rally outside of the Australian embassy in Paris on January 17; localized traffic disruptions expected



The Extinction Rebellion (XR) activist group is calling for a rally outside of the Australian embassy in Paris on Friday, January 17, to show solidarity for Australians impacted by the ongoing wildfires. Supporters are being asked to gather outside the embassy from 18:00-19:00 (local time). Participants are also being encouraged to wear black, red, orange, or yellow clothing to the event.

Localized traffic disruptions are anticipated around the vicinity of the rally.


The Extinction Rebellion (XR) environmental group has organized disruptive protests around the world since 2018 to demand increased action to address climate change issues.
