Macedonia: Demonstrators to gather nationwide November 27

Demonstrators to gather nationwide on November 27; avoid all protests as a precaution

Demonstrators plan to gather on Friday, November 27, in multiple cities demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev. Protests have been planned from 18:00 (local time) in Bitola, Kavadarci, Kumanovo, Ohrid, Prilep, Tetovo, and Veles. The leader of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization - Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity (VMRO-DPMNE) opposition party called for nationwide protests to be held during a similar anti-government rally on Thursday, November 26.

A heightened security presence is likely in the vicinity of all rallies. Localized disruptions should also be anticipated.

Those in Macedonia are advised to avoid all demonstrations as a precaution, monitor developments, anticipate associated disruptions, and heed official instructions issued by local authorities.
