Niger: Demonstration scheduled in Niamey December 15

Civil society groups have called for a demonstration to be held in Niamey on Sunday, December 15, to denounce the foreign military presence in the country. Participants are expected to gather at 09:00 (local time) at Place Toumo and head towards Place de la Concertation.

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected near the protest site.
