Finland to lift remaining COVID-19-related international travel restrictions June 30.

Informational

Event

Authorities in Finland have announced that the country's remaining COVID-19-related international travel restrictions will expire effective June 30. All travelers, regardless of country of origin or vaccination status, will be able to enter the country without adherence to any COVID-19-related protocols.

Domestic Measures
Businesses are permitted to operate subject to basic COVID-19-related hygiene measures. Restrictions limit the operating hours of establishments that serve food and drink in some areas. Facemasks are no longer recommended in enclosed public spaces but remain recommended for individuals with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19.

International Travel Restrictions
Under the restrictions in effect until June 30, all travelers with a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from any country may enter Finland for any purpose. However, travelers from countries and territories other than the EU, Schengen Area, Bahrain, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kuwait, Macau, New Zealand, Peru, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, and Uruguay may only enter for limited essential purposes without a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery.

Authorities could reimpose or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Consider delaying travel if experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as they may prompt increased scrutiny and delays.
