Senegal: Opposition political party plans to protest in Dakar June 17

The opposition political alliance Yewwi Askan Wi plans to protest at Place de l'Obelisque (also called Place de la Nation) in Dakar 15:00-19:00 June 17. It is unclear if the city administration has approved the demonstration, but activists say the will gather with or without permission. Opposition supporters are protesting the rejection of the list of Yewwi Askan Wi candidates for the upcoming July legislative elections. Hundreds of people may participate in the demonstration.
